Course Objectives
Each student will learn and improve in the following areas:
Musical Expression
Articulation
Rhythm
Tone Quality
Intonation
Transposition
Students will also be expected to:
Perform music from different stylistic periods
Perform music in various keys and meters
Perform all major and minor scales
Listen to trumpet examples provided by teacher
Attend concerts (Orchestra, solo, jazz, etc.)
Repertoire
Music (Method Books, Orchestral Excerpts and Solos) will be selected based on students ability.

Lesson Preparation
Each student is expected to practice 1 hour per day or more outside of rehearsals.
Attendance Policy
Attendance is mandatory. An unexcused absence will be counted as an F for that lesson and the lesson will not be made up. If you must miss a lesson or need to reschedule, please call, email, or text me. Excused absences will be rescheduled.
Grading
Each lesson after the initial lesson of the term, you will receive a grade determined by your preparation and progress on the assigned material. These grades will be averaged at the end of the term for your final grade. You must perform a jury at the end of the term (please contact an accompanist early so you can sufficiently rehearse). In order to move to the next level, you must pass the jury which is determined by the music faculty. You will receive written comments on your performance.
